How long does my hair need to be in order to get waxed?

The hair at least needs to be a quarter of an inch long, so think the size of a rice grain.

Should I prep my skin before?

Exfoliating and moisturizing the area at least the day before your appointment makes the hair removal process easier. During your appointment we will take care of prepping the skin

How often should I get waxed?

Every 4-6 weeks depending on your hair growth cycle. Do not shave in between to ensure proper growth and less irritation for your next appointment.

Can I get waxed during my menstural cycle?

Yes! Just keep in mind the area is more prone to sensitivity during this time of month. Taking an ibuprofen about 30 minutes before your appointment can help manage any discomfort. Make sure to wear a fresh tampon and we will get you taken care of.

Do you offer manzillians? What about other male waxing services?

We DO NOT offer manzillians or waxing of intimate areas. However, we do provide all other male waxing services.

Can I wax if I am pregnant?

Yes! If you are about one to two months until your due date check in with your doctor. The skin will be more sensitive due to hormone changes, but we will make sure that you are as comfortable as possible.

What if I am actively using a retinol or retinoid?

Due to the increased cell turnover that retinol and retinoids provide, it is best to stop using them at least 1-2 weeks prior to your wax appointment. These can make your skin more thin and sensitive which can increase redness, irritation, and even skin lifting during your wax. Wait at least 7 days to continue use after your wax to ensure proper healing and safety of the skin.

Can I get waxed if I am using Accutane?

It is best to avoid waxing while using Accutane due to your skin being more thin and sensitive which can increase redness, irritation, burning, scabbing, and even skin lifting during your wax. For your safety, we DO NOT offer waxing services to clients currently using Accutane.

What if I am a diabetic?

For those with diabetes, waxing may require extra caution due to slower healing and may increase the risk of infection and irritation after waxing. For your safety, we DO NOT offer waxing services to clients who are diabetic.

What should I avoid after my wax?

Hot baths, saunas, steam rooms, exercise, tight fitting clothing, touching the area, shaving, and avoiding sexual activity for at least 24 hours. .
